Mumbai Indians (MI) won the first qualifier of the 13th season of IPL and secured their place in the final. Now the team will face the winning team in the second qualifier, Mumbai Indians (MI) defeated Delhi Capitals (DC) by 57 runs. The last time Mumbai defeated Chennai Super Kings by 1 run in the final. Earlier, Mumbai became champions in 2013, 2015 and 2017. The match was played at Dubai. Mumbai, lose the toss and batting first, gave a target of 201 runs.

Bumrah became the highest Indian wicket-taker in a season in IPL history with 27 wickets. Before him, Bhuvneshwar Kumar took 26 wickets in the 2017 season. Delhi will now play with winner of the eliminator between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad on Friday in the second qualifier.
Delhi is the only team that could not play the final till now. However, Delhi reached the semi-finals in the tournament's opening two seasons (2008, 2009).
